Hagia Sophia, Istanbul

Again, mostly pictures.  The Hagia Sophia is one of the most spectacular buildings I've ever seen.  The architecture is unique, the size is massive.  You can tell how big it is on the inside from some of the pictures that I've taken from the second level looking down on the chandeliers. This building has so much to look at, windows, carving, painted designs, old Christian symbols, mosaics, stone work, brick work, etc. And it's OLD!  Wrap your head around the fact that this building was built in 537!  Enjoy the photos!

You can see this design in many of their ceramic designs.
